Robert Davis

Robert Davis is a native of Gilbert, South Carolina and the fourth child of Milton and Lorraine Davis.  After graduating from Gilbert High School, Robert went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina.  Bro. Davis is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.  Robert was pursuing entrance into medical school, when he decided to answer the undeniable call to ministry.  Lacking any foundational teaching in biblical studies, Robert was advised to enroll at Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, Texas. While at SWCC, Robert was able to grow from deposits made by Dr. Jack Evans, Sr., Dr. James Maxwell, Dr. Ben Foster, and numerous others. After two semesters Bro. Davis was encouraged to pursue graduate work in theology.

Currently Robert is pursing a Master of Divinity Degree at Oklahoma Christian University Graduate School of Theology.  Bro. Davis has a broad concentration within his graduate program that focuses on Family Life Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Congregational Ministry.  Subsequent to obtaining an M.Div Degree, Robert's future academic endeavors include pursuit of a Doctoral Degree in New Testament Theology.

Bro. Davis is a young dynamic preacher that has been invited to participate in several gospel meetings and speaking engagements in SC, TX, and OK.  Robert utilizes the principles of expository preaching and places emphasis on practical application of scripture.  This promising preacher's future ministerial ambitions are full-time pulpit ministry and evangelism.  Within The Way Community, Robert serves as an Associate Minister as well as the Young Adults Minister.  Bro. Davis is passionate about making sure everyone is fulfilling their potential within the kingdom of God.  He currently is married to his college sweetheart Courtney Wright of Lexington, South Carolina.  Courtney is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree (DNP) from Oklahoma City University.
